Food shapes the world in which we live. Every time we enter a store or restaurant, food is readily available. However, we frequently fail to recognize the underlying systemic food issues. Approximately 2.1 billion individuals worldwide are overweight or obese, whereas 850 million go hungry daily. In addition, agricultural activities associated with food production account for one-third of global GHG emissions. Our agricultural practices and eating patterns have trapped us in a self-destructive cycle that is difficult to escape. Despite being still considered a dream, the concept of food self-sufficiency is gaining popularity due to the sharp increase in global hunger and rising food prices.

The "Edible Garden" endeavors to construct an aquaponics-based food circulation system that converts human energy into kinetic energy needed to operate the entire system. It is a self-sufficient food garden that experiments with inventive planting methods, such as hydroponics and vertical planting, to achieve more efficient and sustainable planting results. It also functions as a shared communal space in order to inspire people to work together to create a better, thriving food utopia. In the face of significant food-related environmental and social challenges around the globe, "Edible Garden" presents a novel approach for developing a more equitable and sustainable food system. In addition, it encourages us to reconsider our relationship with technology, transform our diets and gardening practices.
